Our leadership team

Marc Becker was appointed Head of the Offshore Business Unit and a member of the global Executive Committee at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy on 1 February 2021.

Dr. Becker, who started his career as a management consultant, holds a Ph.D. in International Management as well as a commercial diploma degree, has a wealth of experience within the renewable energy sector.

He was the Head of Sales & Project Management for the Siemens Gamesa Offshore Business Unit from 2017 – 2020. He joined the former Siemens Wind Power in 2014 as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for 10 factories in Denmark, USA, Canada, & China.

Prior to that, he served as Head of Siemens Offshore Grid Access Solutions from 2011 – 2014. His career at Siemens AG began in 2005.

Marc Becker is dedicated to safety across the entire wind industry, regardless of where or for whom people work. One of his core values is to only make decisions and accept actions which are safe for everyone involved. Richard Luijendijk is the Head of the onshore business from January 1, 2023.

Before that time, he was the Head of Global Projects and the CEO of the Asia Pacific region for the onshore business for more than a year. In October 2022, he began to assist then global Siemens Gamesa CEO Jochen Eickholt in the daily management of the global onshore business. 

Born in Gouda, the Netherlands, Richard holds a Master of Science in aerospace engineering from the Technical University in Delft, the Netherlands. 

His professional career has covered postings worldwide and has been tied to the Siemens group since 2000, when he joined Siemens Nederland N.V., as senior manager in Sales & Development.

In March 2004, he moved to GE Wind Energy, as the sales manager for the Wind Energy business in Benelux.

In September 2005, he joined Siemens Wind Power and held several senior positions in onshore, offshore and service, based in Denmark.

Within Siemens Gamesa, Richard has covered different positions such as Head of Sales for the offshore business, CEO for the onshore business in the APAC region, and Head of Business Transformation, leading the LEAP strategy program.

Tim Dawidowsky has been Head of Corporate Operations and Governance of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy since May 2022. Before that, he was a member of the Board of Directors of Siemens Gamesa from 2020.

In a career spanning more than 28 years in the Siemens group of companies, across a range of engineering and manufacturing sectors, Dawidowsky held leading functional positions in service, supply chain management and manufacturing as well as a number of CEO roles in different countries.

He joined Siemens AG in 1993 after graduating from the Technical University of Berlin with an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Business. Since then, he has worked across numerous industrial sectors including Oil and Gas, Marine, Steel, Mining, Pulp & Paper, Traffic Systems, Power Generation and Transmission.

His career has covered postings in multiple German cities as well as Austria and China.

Between 2012 and 2015 he was CEO of Siemens AG’s Transmission Solution business unit, where he led the unit from a restructuring program back to profitable growth and market leadership. A similar turnaround was effected at the Large Drives business unit, where Dawidowsky acted as CEO between 2015 and 2019, restoring a loss-making business to profitable growth.

During the past two years at Siemens Energy, Tim Dawidowsky was serving as Senior Vice President, Project Excellence. He has been responsible for establishing world-class Project Management practices ensuring excellence in project execution. He will undertake similar programs at Siemens Gamesa.

Morten Pilgaard Rasmussen was appointed Head of Technology of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in January 2023.

Previously, he headed the Technology Department of the Offshore Business Unit at Siemens Gamesa from 2017, where his responsibilities included the development of the latest generation of direct drive offshore turbines.

With 28 years of experience in R&D and engineering, including 20 years in the wind industry, he has a profound understanding of the technological development of this industry at all levels and across all market segments and technologies.

After his first positions at ABB and Dantrafo, he led and successfully grew international teams in all areas of turbine development as an executive during his career at Bonus A/S, Siemens Wind Power and finally Siemens Gamesa.

As Head of Technology at Siemens Wind Power from 2013, Morten Pilgaard Rasmussen was instrumental in launching the world's most technologically advanced offshore platforms to date. Together with his team, he also successfully introduced the Direct Drive platforms for onshore and brought them to technological maturity.

After a dynamic growth phase, he defined new processes and standards in close coordination with Procurement and Production to significantly improve efficiency and product quality. In his new role, his focus will again be on working closely with the COO and the business unit CEOs with the aim of closely integrating technology, operations and the business.

Morten Pilgaard Rasmussen studied Electrical Engineering at Aarhus University, is married and has four children.
