To move one step further we must address the question of how our manufacturing processes and products can meet the high standards we have set ourselves as a society. We believe that actions speak louder than words, and with the introduction of the industry's first RecyclableBlade, we have taken action to develop the materials that will enable the reuse of offshore rotor blades at the end of their life. The next step, as we help to strengthen circularity, is developing a fully recyclable turbine by 2040. Similarly, we are taking action to increase the transparency of our entire supply chain towards full sustainability and net zero by 2040.
Creating value for our customers through technologies that harness the power of wind is our passion. As the market and technology leader in offshore, we are constantly setting new standards in our development of the world's most powerful turbines.
Siemens Gamesa has commissioned the world's most powerful offshore prototypes and started series production of our SG11-220DD offshore turbine – the largest to date. Also, in onshore, we are pushing performance even further. With the installation of the first SG 6.6-155 and SG 6.6-170, the most powerful onshore turbines to date have begun generating green electricity. Soon, these machines will be powering the energy transition from Brazil to the Nordics.
The growth of our market is both an opportunity and a challenge for all players. Wind power faces years of dynamic expansion to achieve decarbonization. Siemens Gamesa is taking a decisive approach to this development with investments in new technology and efficient production capacities. Our manufacturing facilities around the world are preparing to meet the increasing demands for modern and high-performance wind power technologies. We are the first to test direct production of green hydrogen and have presented a complete concept for building a value chain for green hydrogen in the energy production sector.
