“My journey with Siemens Gamesa started in Newcastle after 16 years as a mechanical engineer in the motor industry and nine years in consulting,” he says. “One of my first major projects was helping improve throughput in a production hall in Denmark. That experience cemented my reputation as someone who could tackle complex issues.”

What stands out to Christopher now is the collaborative and inclusive culture. “I work with teams across the globe, and the diversity is incredible,” he explains. “It’s not just about solving problems; it’s about building relationships, learning from others, and working together to create solutions that truly make a difference.”

Christopher’s leadership and care were recognized last year when he won the internal Passion for Energy award in the Valuing People category. The award celebrated his empathy and commitment to inclusivity, particularly during a difficult time for some colleagues. “At a hard time for some colleagues from Iran, Christopher offered his hand of friendship without fear of any consequences. He shared his warm words. What a remarkable way to show your colleagues you care,” read the nomination. Reflecting on the honor, Christopher says, “Winning the award wasn’t just about me. It’s about the values we uphold as a team—the belief that every individual matter and that we’re stronger when we respect and care for one another.”

Christopher’s motivation is also reflected in his commitment to safety. “I once heard an emotional Safety Moment from him where he stressed the importance of listening to your stress levels and stopping at the right time. It was good.” Marco, from the Communication Team shared. Christopher’s dedication to both his work and his team continues to inspire those around him.

Esben Møller Lauridsen: Building a Future for His Family

A decade ago, Esben was a carpenter, but years of physically demanding work had him seeking a career change. Encouraged by friends, he joined Siemens Gamesa as an operator in the nacelle assembly plant in Brande, Denmark.

His work now involves mounting stator plates on fixed axles—a precise task that requires both technical skill and innovative thinking. Over the years, Esben has embraced various roles, including team lead on the night shift and more recently, retraining as an industrial operator

“What motivates me most is when we are developing new ways of working. That is when I feel like my experience and creativity really make a difference,” he says.

Esben credits the supportive environment for his job satisfaction. “We look out for each other. If a colleague is having a difficult day, we listen and help. That sense of teamwork is something I value deeply,” he explains. “It’s also about safety—knowing I can do my job without unnecessary risks is huge for me.”

Sezin Yalpi: Bridging Borders, Streamlining Processes

Sezin began her career with Siemens AG Türkiye in 2013, working in the Supply Chain and Management Department. Today, she leads a cross-functional team as Export Control and Customs Country Manager in Istanbul, navigating the complexities of international trade and compliance. 

“My team is at the forefront of standardizing customs processes across Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa,” she explains. “We assess regulations, implement technologies, and train employees on updated procedures”.

What excites Sezin most is the opportunity to work with colleagues from diverse cultures and backgrounds. “Being part of the integration into Siemens Energy is an incredible learning experience,” she says. “It’s not just about aligning processes; it’s about building something new together.”
